Bathroom towel bars and accessories

After you have made the decision of what type of bath towels you want for your bathroom, you must then decide what type of bath towel bars on which you wish to display them.

First, you have to ask yourself several questions. What type of bathroom look do you want to achieve? Do you want a bathroom with a modern look or one that is antique looking? What type of finish do you want? How much room do you have to display your towels? What other bathroom accessories do you need?

Bath towel bar come in two basic sizes – 18 inches, for regular size bath towels and 24 inches, for larger bath sheets. However, if you wish to display more than one towel on each rack, such as placing a washcloth and hand towel on top of a bath towel, you will need to look for a double rack. This allows for enough space between the rack and the wall to place the multiple towels.

If you need extra space for storing things, such as toiletries or extra towels, you might consider getting a bathroom shelf with a towel rack. These can be solid or glass, with a single towel rack underneath it.

Some people prefer to place the hand towel on a towel ring. These rings can be a complete ring or a ring that is open on one end.

There are many different bath towel rack finishes from which to choose. You will want to choose one that goes well with the overall décor of your bathroom. You can go with something dark like a brushed bronze, rubbed bronze, or Tuscan bronze or something lighter in color such as a finished pewter or brushed sati nickel.

While looking at the bath towel bars, you may also want to look at toilet paper holders. These can mount to the wall or cabinet like a towel rack or can be a single standing holder. Regardless of which you choose, you may want to match the toilet paper holder to the towel bars for consistency in your bathroom.

In addition to bath towel bars and rings, you may also need other bathroom accessories. If you live in a cold climate and hate showering in the morning, consider getting a towel warmer. Some towel warmers sit on the floor while others hang on the wall like a traditional towel rack.

Another nice accessory for the bathroom is a mirror rack. This is a two-sided mirror (one regular, one magnified) that attaches to the wall.
